The Egg Donation Process Explained

As an egg donor, you’ll provide a detailed personal and family health profile. We maintain strict confidentiality throughout the process – donors and recipients never learn each other’s identities.

The Six Steps of Egg Donation:

  1. Ovolation Induction: You’ll receive fertility medications (FSH) to stimulate your ovaries to produce multiple eggs.
  2. Egg Collection: Once mature, eggs are collected through a simple procedure under office anesthesia using vaginal ultrasound.
  3. Fertilization: In the laboratory, collected eggs are combined with sperm. Sometimes, a procedure called ICSI is used to improve fertilization success.
  4. Embryo Development: Fertilized eggs develop into embryos in specialized incubators at our IVF laboratory.
  5. Transfer to Recipient: The embryos are transferred to the recipient after her body is prepared.
  6. Embryo Storage: Any additional embryos may be frozen for future use.
  7. Our donors include college students, graduate students, and working professionals – all sharing the common goal of helping others grow their families while being generously compensated for their efforts.
