Getting Started

If you have been trying to get pregnant without success, or, if you have conceived but unfortunately continue to experience miscarriages, then the time is NOW to seek further evaluation and treatment. At the Center for Advanced Reproductive Medicine & Fertility (CARMF), we have been successfully assisting patients and couples with these very conditions to achieve their dreams of parenthood since 1997!  All of us at CARMF welcome the opportunity to meet with you, to help you to accomplish your objectives, and thus join our ever-growing family of joyful, satisfied parents!

The first step in your quest is to schedule an initial consultation with one of our physicians. You may do so by calling us at 732-339-9300 in Edison, and pressing either extension 11, or 12, to speak to one of our receptionists. Our Plainsboro number is 609-297-4070 and our Cranford number is 908-998-3660. Alternatively, you may also connect with us by means e-mail by clicking the Contact Us link at the top of this page. We will then get back to you promptly to schedule your appointment at a time that is convenient to you.

Prior to arriving at CARMF for your initial visit, we ask you to print out and complete the "New Patient Packet" documents from our website. Doing so ahead of time at home this will greatly enhance the overall efficiency of your consultation, and thus allow more time to be spent between you and your doctor. For those of you who are unable to do so, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to mail these forms to you. We also ask that you bring with you copies of all medical records pertaining to any fertility-related testing and/or treatment that you may have undergone. Your physician at CARMF will review these with you at your initial visit, thereby helping to both better understand your current situation, as well as determining what the next steps will be.

The infertility journey is one that is always based on teamwork and cooperation along the entire way. To this end, we recommend that your husband, or partner, be with you here for as many consultations as possible. This is particularly true for your initial visit, since therein lies the opportunity for introductions, as well as establishment of a mutually beneficial relationship between the two of you and our staff here at the center. However, we certainly understand, and are sympathetic to, the time constraints and personal or work-related responsibilities that many of you often face.
